Lake Louise and surrounding area

We drove the 4 km to the lake early in the day as we had heard that it gets very busy. We had clouds again today and mist on the mountains but the sun came out for a few minutes for us to get some lovely photos of Lake Louise. We then drove up to Moraine Lake for a while, though we thought the water level seemed quite low here the colour was still beautiful. The colours must be out of this world on a bright sunny day, but unfortunately not for us to see this holiday.
A drive along the Bow Valley Parkway which is the minor road between Lake Louise and Banff, where we stopped for lunch in the RV
We wanted to see the railway Spiral Tunnels whilst we were in this area. These are figure of eight tunnels which allow you to watch the front of trains emerging from one part of the mountain before the rear has entered at the entrance. Unfortunately whilst we were there no trains passed through, but we DID see the entrance and exit!!
We had a coffee and a last look around the village here then back to the RV park. We really liked Lake Louise but were not blessed with the good weather we had earlier.
Tomorrow we drive out of the national park for one night staying at Spruce Grove which is part of Fairmont Hot Springs Resort
