En Route to the Rockies!
Whistler to Cache Creek
17.06.2010
Today was mainly about travelling from the west coast towards the Canadian Rockies. We chose a road which seemed the most direct from Whistler and wondered why it wasn't included on our British Columbia map as the shortest way!! Think we discovered why- steep uphill, long. windy downhill, very poor road surface in places which had the RV bouncing up and down and the cups and plates rattling!!!! (I was sure they would be broken!) Anyway we eventually arrived at Cache Creek, our overnight stop. There were some stunning views of the Fraser River canyon which runs through Lillooet but not many places to stop for a picture.
Hoping to get an earlyish start tomorrow, travelling through Kamloops up to Clearwater where we will stay for two nights in order to spend a day in the Wells Gray Provincial Park.
